Transfer & Adult, Summer Entry

For students entering in June or July

Orientation sessions for summer-entry transfer and adult students are one-day programs held in April, May, and June of each year.

The orientation registration system is now open.

Step 1: Confirm Your Enrollment

You must confirm your enrollment and pay the $250 enrollment deposit prior to registering for orientation.

Orientation Dates for Summer Entry Students

  • April 17 – Friday
  • May 29 – Friday
  • June 26 – Friday
The cost for summer-entry transfer and adult orientation is $50 for students and $20 for parents/guests. Costs include all orientation programming, materials, and lunch on campus for students and parents.There will be a $10 fee charged if you need to change your registration date. Refund requests must be made in writing at least ten working days prior to your confirmed orientation session. Please note that a $10 processing fee will be subtracted from your refund amount. Orientation check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. The one-day program lasts until 5:00 p.m. You will receive more detailed information via email leading up to your session.

7:30 a.m. Check-in and registration
8:15 a.m. Welcome and sessions begin
11:45 a.m. Lunch (included in student and guest fees)
12:30 p.m. Additional orientation sessions
5:00 Academic advising and course registration concludes

Step 2: Confirm Your NetID and Password

Once you are admitted to the University of Tennessee, you will be assigned a Network ID (NetID). Your NetID is the username associated with your accounts for the University of Tennessee. It also makes up the first part of your University email address: You will need your NetID and password to login to register.

Step 3: Register for Orientation

Check the schedule in the “Dates” section above, and then log in using your NetID and password. See step 2 (above) for information about your NetID and password.

Reservations are made on a first-response basis, so please read the information carefully and respond as soon as you can.
