Transfer & Adult, Fall Entry

For students entering in August

Orientation sessions for fall-entry transfer & adult students are one-day programs held in April, May, June, and July of each year.

The orientation system will open at 9:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, January 15th. Check back then to reserve your space.  In early January, be on the look-out for a mailer from our office containing everything you need to know to prepare for the New Vols Experience: Orientation this summer. We look forward to having you join us and welcoming you to the Tennessee family!

You must confirm your enrollment and pay the $250 enrollment deposit prior to registering for orientation.
The cost for fall-entry transfer and adult orientation is $50 for students and $20 for parents/guests. Costs include all orientation programming, materials, and lunch on campus. There will be a $10 fee charged if you need to change your registration date. Refund requests must be made in writing at least ten working days prior to your confirmed orientation session. Please note that a $10 processing fee will be subtracted from your refund amount. Orientation check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. in the University Center. The one-day program lasts until 5:00 p.m.
Schedule Highlights

Are you interested in participating in a more in-depth orientation? Register for the June 19-20 session to spend some additional time on campus, stay overnight in a residence hall, and experience what it’s like to be a Tennessee Vol!

This overnight session will include an additional small group meeting lead by upperclassmen who have successfully transferred to UT, dinner on campus, and more information on how to get involved. By attending, you can expect to leave with newly-formed relationships with other incoming transfer students, upper-class students, and staff on campus.

The student cost to attend overnight orientation is $75 and includes one night’s stay in Hess Hall, dinner on June 19 and lunch on June 20, and orientation materials.  The guest cost to attend is $25 and includes dinner on June 19 and lunch on June 20, and orientation materials.
