Interested in Getting inVOLved as an Orientation Leader? Each year, students who serve in this role help thousands of New Vols and make our programs and events successful.


Orientation Leaders

Use your leadership skills and your Big Orange pride to welcome more than 10,000 new students and parents to campus. Orientation Leaders help guide admitted students and their families through several one-day and two-day orientation sessions throughout the summer to prepare them for success at UT.  They also facilitate Welcome Week and Family Weekend programming. If you are interested in learning more about being an Orientation Leader, attend an OL Interest Sessions.

Sessions will take place on:

  • Wednesday, October 22- 4:30 p.m. in Fred Brown Residence Hall Room B
  • Tuesday, October 28- 4:30 p.m. in the University Center Shiloh Room

Orientation Leaders must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA. All student leaders must be in good academic standing with UT and uphold the university standards of conduct.
